PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oncogenesis information acquisition device, a cell analyzer, a cell collection appropriateness determination device, an oncogenesis information acquiring method, and a cell collection appropriateness determination method which are capable of determining whether or not a cell useful in determining oncogenesis has been appropriately collected.SOLUTION: An oncogenesis information providing device 1 comprises: a measuring device 2 that detects information of each cell from a measurement sample including a cell collected from epithelial tissue; and a data processing device 3 which determines cell collection appropriateness of a parabasal cell and acquires information regarding oncogenesis of the cell, based on the information detected by the measuring device 2. The data processing device 3 displays a dialogue displayed as "inappropriate cell collection" on a display section in the case where collection of the parabasal cell is determined as inappropriate.
