A frameless liquid crystal display device, comprising: a rear housing (2), a backlight module (4) arranged within the rear housing (2), a plastic frame (6) arranged on the backlight module (4) and fixedly connected to the rear housing (2), a liquid crystal display panel (8) arranged on the plastic frame (6), and a surface decoration material (9) arranged at the lower end of the liquid crystal display panel (8). The liquid crystal display panel (8) comprises a CF substrate (82), a TFT substrate (84) affixedly arranged with the CF substrate (82), and, an upper polarizing film (86) and a lower polarizing film (88) respectively affixed onto the CF substrate (82) and onto the TFT substrate (84). The lower polarizing film (88) directly forms protruding parts (3) respectively on non-display areas at the upper and lower ends of the liquid crystal display panel (8). A corresponding engaging groove (66) is formed on the plastic frame (6). One end of the engaging groove (66) is open, while the other end is closed. The protruding part (3) is capable of being inserted into the engaging groove (66) via the open end, thus engagingly fixing the liquid crystal display panel (8) onto the plastic frame (6). The frameless liquid crystal display device has the lower polarizing film (88) of the liquid crystal display panel (8) formed directly on the protruding parts (3) that are engaged onto the plastic frame (6), and the liquid crystal display panel (8) is thus removably mounted onto the plastic frame (6), thus implementing the fixing of the liquid crystal display panel (8) of the frameless liquid crystal display device.
