PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect conduction failure of a solar cell, simply and reliably.SOLUTION: A conduction failure detection device 2 for detecting a conduction failure targetting a solar cell includes: a measurement section 5 for changing a load resistance connected between a positive electrode and a negative electrode of the solar cell and measuring a voltage value or a current value in two operation points on an IV curve of the solar cell; a calculation section for calculating an inclination between the two operation points on the basis of the result measured by the measurement section 5; and a control determination section 6 for determining whether or not the conduction failure is present on the basis of the inclination calculated by the calculation section. A conduction failure of the solar cell can be detected by the conduction failure detection device 2 simply and reliably.
