PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmission apparatus and an information transmission method in which a work for checking an error of a transmission destination can be performed efficiently.SOLUTION: The information transmission apparatus has: an input section for inputting address information; a storage section for storing comparison target information to be compared with the address information; a comparison target extraction section for calculating visual similarity degree between the address information and the comparison target information, and extracts the comparison target information which is similar to the address information among the comparison target information on the basis of the calculated visual similarity degree; and an address information comparison section for comparing the address information and the comparison target information extracted by the comparison target extraction section to extract differences.
