A method for transmitting a short message by using voice recognition in a mobile terminal is provided so that a user can easily transmit a short message containing a specific phone number to the other party by using a multitasking function and a voice recognition function in the middle of phone conversation with the other party. A calling mobile terminal, performing a voice call with a called mobile terminal, judges whether a voice recognition key is inputted(200,210). In case a user of the calling mobile terminal inputs the voice recognition key, the calling mobile terminal waits for user's voice input(220). If the user completes the voice input, the calling mobile terminal analyzes the inputted voice(230). The calling mobile terminal searches for the data matched with the inputted/analyzed voice among the previously stored automatic voice dial data(240). In case the matched phone number is obtained, the calling mobile terminal creates a voice-recognized short message for the obtained phone number(250) and sends the created short message to the called mobile terminal(260). |
