PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection apparatus capable of distortion correction to a suitable size and shape without regard to the positional relation between a projection image and a projection area before the distortion correction, without using imaging means.SOLUTION: The projection apparatus comprises: projection means for projecting an image on a projection surface; correction means for correcting a projection range by the projection means; deformation means for deforming the shape of the image to be projected on the projection surface, in accordance with the positions of plural correction points in the projection range; and control means which, if the correction points are inside the projection range after the completion of setting the positions of the correction points, controls the correction means so as to decrease the size of the projection range. |
