PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device which can grasp position information on a frame correctly and to provide a control method of the input device.SOLUTION: The input device equipped with a scanning function has: a position detection section for acquiring position information for each of a plurality of unit images to a scanning object; a unit image acquisition section for acquiring each of the plurality of unit images using position information on each of the plurality of acquired unit images; and a target image acquisition section for combining the plurality of acquired unit images to acquire a target image of the scanning object.
