A plastic or metal-made profile strip (6) is placed in the outer contour of the floor skirting, at a desired distance from the wall (4) on the floor (2). The profiled strip is fixed on the floor. A liquid skirting material is poured into the cavity between the wall and strip and is hardened. The strip is removed from the floor, after hardening the liquid skirting material. The strip is fixed to the floor by applying adhesive tape (16), by applying weight on the foot, or by applying plugs on the floor. An independent claim is included for a profile strip for producing a molded skirting board. |
