PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device wherein a display failure such as color unevenness is eliminated, generated by contraction of conductive resin disposed between a substrate on which a counter electrode is formed and a circuit board supplying potential to the counter electrode. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device has the first electrode substrate having a plurality of pixel electrodes, and the second electrode substrate having the counter electrode, which is opposite the first electrode substrate. The first and second electrode substrates have liquid crystal display panels stuck together in a predetermined position and with a predetermined gap between them. Electrode pads disposed on the counter electrode of the second electrode substrate and on a surface opposite the circuit board are liquid crystal display devices electrically connected via conductive resin, for example, silver paste. A conductive pedestal with a through-hole, such as 42 alloy, is interposed between the counter substrate of the second electrode substrate, to which a conductive resin is applied, and the electrode pad of the circuit board. The through-hole of the conductive pedestal is provided with a conductive relaxation part that relaxes the heat stress of the conductive resin, for example, conductive resin excellent in flexibility.
