<p>A luminescent suspension resistant to hydrolysis, which contains an oxide of a rare earth, partic. Y-oxide Gd-oxide and/or Y-Gd oxide as host element in an organic binder and which is sensitised with a dichromate ion, is prepd. by "isolating" the luminescent material with the oxide of the rare earth as host element, against acid-induced hydrolysis. The luminescent suspension has longer shelf life, and can be used, on a carrier, in production of TV tubes.</p> |
