The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device. A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display panel including a cutting process for forming an individual panel according to the present invention comprises the steps of providing an upper substrate and a lower substrate in which a dummy pattern having a certain width is formed in the external side of a cutting line while substantially being in touch with the cutting line for the cutting process; forming a seal pattern by drawing a sealant to be partially overlapped with the dummy pattern while having the certain width along the cutting line in either the upper substrate or the lower substrate; bonding the upper substrate and the lower substrate to form a bonding panel; irradiating light from the lower part of the lower substrate so that the external side part of the cutting line in the seal pattern is uncured by blocking the light by the dummy pattern while curing the internal side part of the cutting line in the seal pattern by the light; and cutting the bonding panel along the cutting line, thereby minimizing a region covered with a bezel by reducing the width of the seal pattern and by forming the narrow seal and further enlarging an area occupied by a display region in an entire panel. |
