<p>Tubular furnace for the thermal dissociation of hydrocarbons, comprises a zone for transmission of heat by convection; a zone for transmission of heat by radiation, and a certain number of branched parallel reaction tubes in the zone for transmission by radiation, these tubes communicating with the entrance and the exit, respectively by one or more distributor piped and one or more collector pipes, while the entrance orfice of each of the branched parallel reaction tubes contains a proportionating nozzle for stabilising a pressure ratio more than critical, or less than critical. The construction of the furnace enables the hydrocarbon to be uniformly distributed in the furnace tubes, for maximum efficiency of thermal dissociation.</p> |
