A scheduling method and apparatus in a communication system are provided to improve a resource usage rate and data transmission/reception rate by using more resources and scheduling band information of the optimum bands and band information of the others. A BS(Base Station) receives CQI(Channel Quality Indicator) including information about optimum bands, e.g., a band CINR(Carrier to Interference and Noise Ratio), from an MS(Mobile Station)(401). The BS updates a band CINR of physical bands through the CINR of the optimum bands(403). The BS estimates a band CINR of the other remaining bands than the optimum bands(405). The BS updates a band CINR of logical bands through the band CINR of the optimum bands included in the CQI and the band CINR of the bands estimated by using the band CINR of the optimum bands(407). The BS performs scheduling by using the band CINR of the logical bands and transmits/receives data to/from the MS(409). |
