A method for diagnosing the grade of liver dysfunction in the patients with obturation jaundice of non-cancer etiology provides for assaying for serum blood content of glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) and measuring effective albumin concentration (EAC) preoperatively and postoperatively. The values of HbA1c 5.61±0.09 % and EAC 36.4±0.43 % correspond to the total bilirubin content up to 50 µmol/L (latent stage, compensation of liver dysfunction). HbA1c 6.32±0.11 % and EAC 30.4±0.37 % correspond to the total bilirubin content of 51-100 µmol/L (mild dysfunction, stage of liver subcompensation). HbA1c 7.32±0.13 % and EAC 24.7±0.26 % correspond to the total bilirubin content of 101-200 µmol/L (moderate grade, stage of liver decompensation). HbA1c 8.31±0.15 % and EAC 20.7±0.2 % correspond to the total bilirubin content exceeding 201 µmol/L (severe grade, terminal stage of liver dysfunction). |
