Provided are a girder having a truss cross-section and a method for constructing a bridge and a pedestrian overpass using the same capable of being strong on a cyclic load and a wind load and binding long span beams by increasing the cross-sectional strength. According to a preferable embodiment of the present invention, the girder having the truss cross section includes a truss hollow beam having: a steel pipe having compound cross-sections in an upper and a lower part; a horizontal reaction member horizontally installed in the center of the inner cross-section of the steel pipe; and a pair of truss members which are arranged symmetrical based on a vertical line passing the center of the cross-section of the steel pipe and which have one end connected to the upper end of the steel pipe and the other end connected to the horizontal reaction member. |
