PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saccharification method of a cellulose-based biomass raw material capable of producing saccharified liquid without using an acid catalyst, having the small number of steps, and capable of lowering production cost, when obtaining the saccharified liquid from the cellulose-based biomass raw material.SOLUTION: A biomass raw material including cellulose is coarsely crushed (coarse crushing step S1), and a moisture content is adjusted (moisture adjustment step S2), and then a temperature, a pressure and the moisture content are controlled, and pH is controlled by controlling a generation amount of an organic acid, thereby converting the biomass raw material into a soluble mixture by using the organic acid as an acid catalyst (solubilization step S3). The soluble mixture is dissolved by adding water thereto (extraction step S4), and subjected to heating treatment, thereby obtaining saccharified liquid without adding an acid catalyst (saccharification step S5). |
