PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which improves impact safety and a method of manufacturing and using the system.SOLUTION: A system includes a panel with a panel surface (110) having an easy-to-break region (120). The panel may be formed of a translucent material such as glass. The easy-to-break region cannot be normally discriminated from the remaining part (121) of the panel, but enables the panel to be broken safely and predictably when force is applied to the easy-to-break region by a predetermined amount. The panel is therefore neither crushed into pieces nor broken into sharp fragments, and the easy-to-break region is separated as a no-damage unit from the panel without internal fracture instead. Consequently, a risk of harming a person is minimized and no sharp fragment is left, so the broken panel is easily cleaned up and replaced. The panel is effectively applied to emergency equipment, such as a video monitor and a fire extinguisher cabinet, arranged in a car or in a fixed environment at home or in an office. |
