PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact zoom lens with properly corrected aberrations and high imaging performance, an optical device including the same, and a zoom lens manufacturing method.SOLUTION: A zoom lens includes, from an object side, a first lens group (G1) with negative refractive power and a second lens group (G2) with positive refractive power. In varying magnification from a wide-angle-end state (a) to a telephoto-end state (c), a distance between the first lens group (G1) and the second lens group (G2) is changed. The first lens group (G1) includes, from the object side, a negative meniscus lens (L1) having a concave surface facing an image surface side, a negative lens (L2), and a positive lens (L3) having a convex surface facing the object side. The second lens group (G2) includes, from the object side, a positive lens (L4), a first cemented lens (L56), and a second cemented lens (L78), and satisfies predetermined conditions. |
