PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component mounting machine capable of easily controlling communication data transmission and reception free from erroneous control of individual units.SOLUTION: A component mounting machine 20 for manufacturing a component mount board includes: a main control unit 150 that controls behavior of the component mounting machine 20; plural sub-control units 200 each of which is connected to the main control unit 150 via a network to perform communication data transmission and reception with the main control unit 150 according to at least one communication protocol; plural individual units 230 each connected to any one of the plural sub-control units 200 to perform transmission of information to perform component mount board manufacturing operation. The main control unit 150 determines the latest communication protocol from at least one communication protocol which is capable of being used by the plural sub-control units 200 as a common protocol. The main control unit 150 and the plural sub-control units 200 perform transmission and reception of communication data according to the common protocol.
