PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder capable of preventing rattle, displacement, and skew of paper by regulating a position in a width direction of the paper while interlocking with a paper feeding operation.SOLUTION: A paper feeder 40 includes a paper feed tray 41 on which paper P to be supplied to a paper conveyance path is stacked, a paper regulation unit 43 (a regulation pressing portion 43a and a regulation fixing portion 43b) provided to oppose side edges of the paper P stacked on the paper feed tray 41, and an elevating plate 45 that moves in a direction in which the paper P is brought closer to a paper feeding roller 102 for feeding the paper P toward the paper conveyance path during a paper feeding operation for feeding the paper P from the paper feed tray 41 toward the paper conveyance path. The paper regulation unit 43 moves in a width direction X of the paper P stacked on the paper feed tray 41 while interlocking with the paper feeding operation, to regulate the paper P stacked on the paper feed tray 41. |
