PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine in which a concentric winding coil is used, capable of reducing voltage concentration to a power supply line side winding wire with respect to a steep inverter surge voltage.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine comprises: a stator including stator coils 13a-13c to which a voltage from an inverter is applied; and a rotor which is disposed so as to be freely rotatable via a void with respect to the stator. The stator coils 13a-13c of each phase have a series circuit structure in which a plurality of concentric winding coils 40, 50 are connected in series. The concentric winding coils 40, 50 include a plurality of unit coils 40a, 40b, 50a, 50b having different circumferential lengths and coil conductor lengths. Regarding at least the concentric winding coils 40, 50 connected to a power supply line of the inverter among the plurality of concentric winding coils 40, 50 provided in the stator coils 13a-13c, unit coils 40a, 50a having the shortest conductor length among a plurality of unit coils constituting the concentric winding coils 40, 50 are disposed at a position closest to the power supply line. |
