PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face-to-face optical coupling element device in which the creepage distance and operation voltage of a coupling element can be increased while maintaining high efficiency and a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: An optical coupling element has one or more lead 104 which is bent to provide an enhanced separation gap. The enhanced separation gap has a space 824, and a blocker 820 may be included in the insulating material 704 of an optical coupling element between a light source and a photodetector. The blocker 820 may include an efficiency enhancer for directing the light radiated from the light source, i.e., a lens. |
