PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery manufacturing method capable of preventing the occurrence of minute short-circuits due to aging processing at a high temperature of 60°C or above, thereby making it possible to produce a high quality secondary battery in a short time.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, the method including the steps of: preparing a wound electrode body in which a cathode active material layer is not formed on the surface at least on outer peripheral side of winding of a cathode current collector in a cathode outermost peripheral section including at least a section constituting the outermost periphery of the cathode, and in which an uncoated section provided at one end in a width direction of the cathode current collector and having no cathode active material layer formed therein projects on one end in a winding axis direction of the cathode current collector and an uncoated section provided at one end in a width direction of an anode current collector and having no anode active material layer formed therein projects on the other end in a winding axis direction of the anode current collector; building a secondary battery by accommodating the wound electrode body in the battery case together with a nonaqueous electrolyte; and applying aging processing maintaining the secondary battery within a temperature range of 60°C or above. |
