PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a structure capable of reducing a gloss level difference.SOLUTION: A compression air supplying device 300 is provided as blowing means for blowing air toward a predetermined area on a downstream side in a rotating direction of a nip portion N of a fixing roller 101 as a heating rotator. A control portion 700 as controlling means starts blowing by the compression air supplying device 300 before a leading end of a recording material reaches the nip portion N, and stops the blowing while the leading end of the recording material passes through the nip portion N. During that, a surface of the fixing roller 101 passing through the predetermined area is cooled. Accordingly, in the surface of the fixing roller 101, a temperature difference at a boundary portion between a part with which the recording material comes in contact and a part with which the recording material does not come in contact can be reduced, and a gloss level difference can be reduced. |
