PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heating device configured to reliably prevent temperature increase in a non-paper-passing part by properly setting the time when a magnetic flux blocking member moves toward a paper-passing part, and to provide an image forming device.SOLUTION: An image heating device includes an induction heating apparatus (100), and heat storage temperature detection means (TH2) for detecting temperature in a heat storage part (2) that stores heat generated by a heating rotary body (1). The induction heating apparatus includes: heating area setting means (71) that changes a magnetic flux density distribution along a conveyance width direction of a magnetic flux, to set a heating area according to a length of a recording material in the conveyance with direction; and a magnetic flux blocking means (11) arranged closer to the non-paper-passing part of the recording material than the heating area set by the heating area setting means, and movable toward the paper-passing part. The induction heating apparatus also includes control means (102) which sets the time to move the magnetic flux blocking member toward the paper-passing part on the basis of the temperature detected by the heat storage temperature detection means, to prevent temperature increase in the non-paper-passing part. |
