<p>An information processing apparatus (100) includes interface means (108) for connecting the information processing apparatus to a peripheral device (109), detection means (204) for detecting a connection and a disconnection between the interface means and the peripheral device, management means (203) for managing device specifying information that specifies the peripheral device the connection of which to the interface means is detected by the detection means, usage interruption means for setting the peripheral device connected to the interface means to a usage interruption state, and determination means (201) for determining whether the peripheral device has been set to the usage interruption state by the usage interruption means when the detection means detects the disconnection of the interface means from the peripheral device, wherein when the peripheral device which is determined as not having been set to the usage interruption state by the determination means is reconnected to the interface means, the management means manages the peripheral device using previous device information before the peripheral device is disconnected from the interface means.</p> |
