The assembly has a container (1) that contains a gas which is released for inflating an airbag of an airbag module. A sealing element (2) is designed as a rolled sheet for sealing an opening (15) of the container in a gas-tight manner, after filled with gas. The interior of the container is arranged facing the rolling surface of the sealing element. The sealing element is fixed or heat pressed on the container by a welding, a friction welding, a soldering and an adhesive bonding. A spherical component is welded to the sealing element by a through-hole.
