The purpose of the present invention is to provide an actuator having a permanent magnet and being capable of reduce a magnetomotive force required for actuating a movable core. An actuator according to the present invention includes a yoke member forming an accommodation space therewithin, a coil provided within the yoke member and forming a magnetic field by being applied with power from the outside, a fixed core disposed within the coil, and a movable core that can be moved by the magnetic field generated by the coil, and a permanent magnet for generating a magnetic field to move the movable core. According to the present invention, the magnetic force generated by the permanent magnet may act on the movable core even when the coil cannot generate a magnetic force with enough strength, thus the magnetomotive force required for actuating the movable core can be reduced. Therefore, power consumption required for operations of the actuator can be reduced. In addition, an overall size of the actuator can be reduced by reducing the volume of the coil since the winding number of the coil can be reduced. |
