a memory; and at least one processor in communication with the memory, the processor configured to control:
a first execution unit configured to execute shutdown processing for turning off the information processing apparatus at a predetermined time;a second execution unit configured to execute restart processing for turning off and restarting the information processing apparatus when an event requiring restart of the information processing apparatus has occurred; anda control unit configured to, even if the event requiring restart of the information processing apparatus has occurred and if a remaining time before the first execution unit executes the shutdown processing at the predetermined time is shorter than a threshold, control the second execution unit not to execute the restart processing and control the first execution unit to execute the shutdown processing at the predetermined time.
