PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor connecting jig for a rotary machine that facilitates shaft alignment, and to provide a rotor connecting method.SOLUTION: A rotor connecting jig for a rotary machine includes: a shaft member 10 having a fitting columnar part 13 which is arranged in a first bolt hole 113 being fitted to the first bolt hole 113; and a sleeve 20 having a fitting cylindrical part 21 which is arranged in a second bolt hole 123 being fitted to the second bolt hole 123. The shaft member 10 further has: a tapered part 16 formed at an end of the fitting columnar part and gradually decreasing in diameter from the first bolt hole 113 toward the second bolt hole 123; and a tapered hole 23 which gradually increases in diameter from the second bolt hole 123 toward the first bolt hole 123 is formed in the fitting cylindrical part 21 of the sleeve 20 around an axis P2 of the sleeve 20.
