PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deformable material that is greatly displaceable with a low voltage, and an actuator using the same.SOLUTION: The deformable material includes: a stimulus-responsive compound whose molecular structure changes by an oxidation/reduction reaction; a polymeric material; and an electronically conductive material with optical transparency. The electronically conductive material is preferably granular in the deformable material. The electronically conductive material preferably has an average grain size of 5 nm or more to 10 μm or less. The electronically conductive material preferably contains one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of ITO, IZO, GZO, ZnO, CdO, AZO and IGZO. |
