[Problem] The objective of the present invention is to allow 3D-display of a video image of a television broadcast to be performed as effectively as possible even if video image display of the television broadcast is switched from 2D to 3D. [Solution] A 2D/3D conversion processing unit (18) converts 2D content (a television broadcast program) received by way of a television broadcast receiver unit (16) to right-eye-use content and left-eye-use content for 3D-use, whereupon the converted 3D-use content is 3D-displayed upon a display unit (17). A central control unit (11), when switching from 2D-display to 3D-display, suppresses display of data broadcast-use data related to video image data for television.
