Provided are a distributed processing-based camera image service system and a method thereof. The camera image service system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: an image storage database which provides a space to store images; an image storage server which stores images taken by cameras to the image storage database in a distributed manner after classifying the images by camera; an image search server which searches for images stored in the image storage database in a distributed manner; and an image analysis server which analyzes images stored in the image storage database in a distributed manner. By doing so, the present invention removes storage and operation functions from cameras, moves the functions to servers, and enables distributed storage and processing in a distributed processing system so that a plurality of images taken by cameras installed/managed by a variety of users can be stored, searched, and analyzed fast.
