PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connector which facilitates alignment of optical fibers and optical waveguide cores and mounting of the optical fibers and which is unlikely to allow positional displacement.SOLUTION: An optical fiber guide member includes a fiber guide-side substrate section constituting a portion of a substrate, a fiber guide pattern, and a cover material, while an optical waveguide includes an optical waveguide-side substrate section abutting on the fiber guide-side substrate section, a first optical waveguide-side lower cladding layer, an optical signal transmission core pattern, and an optical waveguide-side upper cladding layer. The fiber guide pattern includes a plurality of guide members and fiber guide grooves each comprising a space between two adjacent guide members. A value α1 obtained by subtracting a radius of optical fibers to be secured to the optical fiber guide members from a distance between the substrate and a mid point of the optical signal transmission core pattern in the height direction shall be 0.5-15 μm, and a value α2 obtained by subtracting a diameter of the optical fibers from the height of the fiber guide grooves shall be 1.0-30 μm. |
