PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide bearing for an internal combustion engine, which is excellent in conformability.SOLUTION: The slide bearing for the internal combustion engine includes a metal layer 2 having an inner peripheral surface of a shape along at least a part of a cylindrical shape and a resin coating layer 3 formed on the inner peripheral surface of the metal layer 2. By forming an annular or spiral groove in an approximately circumferential direction of the cylindrical shape, a convex portion adjacent to an axial direction of the cylindrical shape and extended in the approximately circumferential direction is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the metal layer 2. The resin coating layer 3 is formed as a shape following the shapes of the groove and the convex portion. When it is defined that an average film thickness of the resin coating layer on a portion other than an apex of the convex portion is t and a projected peak height of the resin coating layer is Rpk, t and Rpk satisfy the relation of 1.0 μm≤t≤5.0 μm and 0.06≤Rpk/t≤5.04. |
