PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device capable of capturing a degree of coincidence between the traveling direction of an own vehicle and that of a preceding vehicle and reliably performing control to suppress collision of the own vehicle with the preceding vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device performs: capturing a traveling direction of a preceding vehicle and that of an own vehicle respectively (S7, S9) and determining a degree of coincidence between the two directions (S11), when TTC decreases to a warning actuation line or less (Yes for S5); and issuing a warning as usual (S13) if the degree is high, or suppressing operation of the warning until the TTC decreases to a lower warning actuation line (S15) if the degree is medium, or issuing no warning (S17) if the degree is low. |
