The present invention relates to a surge absorber and a manufacturing method thereof and more particularly, to a surge absorber and a manufacturing method thereof, capable of remarkably increasing durability by using a ceramic tube made of ceramic materials with high mechanical strength and bonding the ceramic tube to a sealing electrode by a brazing ring and being stably used at a high voltage by completely sealing the ceramic tube.
