MULTIPLE MEMBER INTERCONNECT FOR SURGICAL INSTRUMENT AND ABSORBABLE SCREWFASTENER Abstract An instrument (50) for firing a plurality of fasteners (10) loaded therein into a surgical mesh overlying a target tissue site. The instrument comprising: a handle assembly (700); an elongate endoscopic distal portion supported on and extending from the handle assembly. The elongate endoscopic distal portion configured to retain the plurality of fasteners therein. The endoscopic distal portion defining a distal tip (246) through which each fastener of the plurality of fasteners is dispensed. A crenellated tip (266) projects distally from the distal tip (246) of the elongate endoscopic distal portion.
