PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: handheld devices useful for basic fault finding and field service work in troubleshooting in equipment; and a system that allows a technician to reduce the amount of time spent in connecting and reconnecting instrumentation.SOLUTION: At least one secondary device 24 may be positioned remotely from a primary device 22 to test or monitor at least a second parameter. The primary device 22 tests or monitors a first parameter and displays the resulting data for a user. The primary device 22 also receives data from the secondary device 24, and displays that data on the primary device 22 for the user.
