[Class 44] Unthreaded bolts &c. are locked in position by resilient sheet metal fasteners comprising rectangular blanks 12 provided with three parallel longitudinal slots enabling bridge portions to be stamped having inclined offset ends 18 and outwardly splayed opposed edges 15 notched at 16 for the bolt. When the fastener is pressed into place these edges bite into the bolt to resist withdrawal. In a modification the width of the fastener is reduced to that across the bridge portions.
