The present invention provides a non-aqueous electrolyte battery with excellent charging and discharging cycle capacity, an active material for the battery used in the non-aqueous electrolyte battery, a battery pack including the non-aqueous electrolyte battery, and a vehicle including the non-aqueous electrolyte battery. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the present invention provides: an active material for the battery including a second particle with an average particle diameter of 1-100 um containing a first particle of a monoclinic β type titanium composite oxide with the average primary particle diameter of 1 nm-10 um, and having the compressive-breaking strength greater than 20 MPa; the non-aqueous electrolyte battery (100) containing the active material; and the battery pack (200) and the vehicle (50) including the non-aqueous electrolyte battery (100). |
