An air conditioner for an electric vehicle according to the present invention comprises: a compressor for compressing a refrigerant; an internal heat exchanger for heat-exchanging an input refrigerant with air; an external heat exchanger for heat-exchanging an input refrigerant with the outdoor air; a first expander disposed between the internal heat exchanger and the external heat exchanger to expand an input refrigerant; an evaporator for evaporating an input refrigerant to dehumidify the indoor air; a second expander disposed between the external heat exchanger and the evaporator to expand an input refrigerant; a first bypass flow passage for allowing the refrigerant passing through the internal heat exchanger to bypass the first expander and the external heat exchanger and then flow toward the evaporator; a second bypass flow passage for allowing the refrigerant flowing toward the evaporator to bypass the evaporator and flow to the compressor; a first switching valve for allowing the refrigerant flowing toward the first expander to flow to the first bypass flow passage at the time of low-temperature heating operation; and a second switching valve for allowing the refrigerant flowing toward the evaporator to flow to the second bypass flow passage at the time of non-dehumidifying operation. |
