<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact parallel type exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine, which lowers a support burden. <P>SOLUTION: A device body 15 is constituted of a simple structure having: an upper-and-lower two stage type body part 20 in which an upstream muffler 18 containing a particulate filter 12 in a cylindrical container 16 and a downstream muffler 19 containing a selective reduction type NOx catalyst 14 in a cylindrical container 17 are arranged parallel in upper and lower two stages and an intermediate pipe 26 connects between them; and an additive addition device 21 adding an additive into exhaust gas from an upstream side of the selective reduction type NOx catalyst. The cylindrical containers of the upstream side muffler and downstream side muffler are supported on the chassis frame of a vehicle by independent support devices, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
