The present invention provides a battery module including an assembling-type case. The battery module includes: a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells connected in series and/or in parallel or unit modules are stacked while standing in the lateral direction; a lower module case in which the battery cell stack is mounted and which fixes to one side, the other side, and the bottom of the battery cell stack; and an upper module case which is combined to the lower module case and covers the top of the battery cell stack. At least one among the upper and the lower module case provides a battery module which includes: a first housing fixing one side of the battery cell stack; a second housing fixing the other side; and a connection plate connected between the first and the second housing in an assembling combination structure and fixing one side of the battery cell stack.
