[Also in Division E2] An animal collar, comprises a strap 1 with an apertured end guide 7 and spaced studs 8, 9, 10 each with a longitudinal base slot 16 (not shown) and a tongue insertable in the guide aperture and with a series of openings 3, 4, 5, 6 one of which being selectively engageable with one of the studs. The strap may be moulded from plastics material such as polyvinyl chloride integrally with the guide and studs and an insecticide dimethyl 2,2-dichlorovinylphosphate may be included. The head of each stud may be flanged and may be rectangular or circular in cross section and each opening may be shaped correspondingly and with a larger dimension at the base than at the top. The guide is either closed or open at the top and if open it has inwardly projecting ribs to retain the strap. |
