A hybrid vehicle driving apparatus includes: a first planetary gear mechanism (10); a second planetary gear mechanism (20); a clutch (4) that connects and disconnects a carrier (14) of the first planetary gear mechanism to and from a carrier (24) of the second planetary gear mechanism; and a brake (5) that regulates the rotation of the carrier of the second planetary gear mechanism by engaging, in which a sun gear (11), the carrier, and a ring gear (13) of the first planetary gear mechanism are respectively connected to a first rotating electric machine (MG1), an engine (1), and a driving wheel, and a sun gear (21) and a ring gear (23) of the second planetary gear mechanism are respectively connected to a second rotating electric machine (MG2) and the driving wheel. |
