The method involves emitting an electromagnetic measurement beam (9) having a known time curve of frequency to a region above roadway in a direction obliquely relative to vertical axis (V) and normally or obliquely relative to driving direction. The reflected measurement beam is received, and time curve of frequencies relative to known curve is recorded as a received frequency mixed curve. A continually ascending or descending band of frequencies over a time period in received frequency mixed curve is detected so as to detect the rolling wheel (4). An independent claim is included for device for detecting rotating wheel of vehicle. |
