PURPOSE: A core metal for welding resins, a composite member, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve bond strength between a resin outer material and a peripheral surface of the core metal by including a plurality of striped protrusion units and flat units formed in a direction crossing a peripheral direction on the peripheral surface. CONSTITUTION: A core metal for welding resins is fitted in a fit hole (31) of a resin outer material (30) and is heated by being lead so that the resin outer material is welded on a peripheral surface. The peripheral surface of the core metal includes a plurality of striped protrusion units (26) and a flat unit (25). The striped protrusion units are formed in a direction crossing the peripheral direction and are arranged in parallel in the peripheral direction. The flat unit is individually formed at both ends of the striped protrusion units. When the core metal is fitted into the fit hole, a gap is formed in between with the adjacent striped protrusion unit. The distance from a central axis of the core metal to the flat unit is smaller than the distance from the central axis to the top of the striped protrusion unit in the entire periphery. |
