PURPOSE: A system and a method for recognizing/searching text included in an image area which is identified with a pointing device are provided to obtain a fixed size image based on a coordinate which is identified by the pointing device and to apply the text extracted from the image in a database and/or an application, thereby displaying a search result. CONSTITUTION: A pointing device driver(21) outputs a signal if a pointing device does not move for a fixed time. If the signal is inputted from a display control unit, an image capturing unit(23) captures a screen image of a fixed size based on a pointing coordinate of a screen facing the pointing device. A text recognizer(24) recognizes the text from the image area. A searcher(25) set a morpheme of text as a keyword and search the keyword in a database and/or an application. |
