APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DELIVERING AN EMBOLIC COMPOSITION

A micro catheter for delivering embolic fluid includes an outer member in which the size is adjusted to be inserted into a blood vessel close to a region for the embolic treatment. The outer member forms a first longitudinal lumen, and an inner member can be selectively located inside the first longitudinal lumen. The inner member forms a second longitudinal lumen, and includes a delivery port which fluid-communicates with the second longitudinal lumen for the transfer and delivery of the embolic fluid toward the region for the embolic treatment. A valve is located inside the outer member. The size of the valve is adjusted to secure the sealing around the circumference of the inner member to minimize the insertion of the embolic fluid into the first longitudinal lumen of the outer member after delivering the embolic fluid to the region for the embolic treatment.
